“Victory In Their Eyes”….

is a valuable memento for those of us who will never forget the dynamic season
our Eagles gave us, on the way to and including the NFC Conference. This is the
portrait painting of McNabb, Owens, Westbrook, and Reid, painted by the artist
Steve Johnson. These great men played a great part in making it all happen for
us.

This artwork is of immense worth to art lovers. Steve’s style is the product of
triumph over the effects of becoming a paraplegic in 1984 and receiving a fused
right wrist in 1986. His brilliant, radiant color embodies his love for life, the game
of football, and his God-given talent.

“Victory In Their Eyes” was completed while confined to a hospital bed, sitting up,
using a piece of cardboard to attach his artwork to. The artist did not use his
studio or his easel. Through pain, discomfort, and seclusion, Steve was able to
utilize his spirit and god-given gift to achieve an even greater, exquisite and
fresher style of work.
